Scott Golder, a graduate student in the Social Dynamics Lab in the Department of Sociology at Cornell University created a program that examines people’s tweets on twitter as a window into our social universe. In short Scott Golder examined 2.4 million users and 500 millions tweets to find out when (week & time of day) certain topic or emotions were most popular, and the frequency of topics and emotions compared to others.
